About Agus Canny

I have more than 25 years of experience in marketing, strategic business development, and international tourism partnerships. I have a background in system thinking and digital ICT for consumer and organizational-focused businesses. Furthermore, I am an expert in intercultural communication with a passion for navigating teams through agile-changing business environments. I am skilled in developing and sustaining software products, investment promotion, industrial estate and mixed-use development, special economic zones (SEZs), university education, and decision support systems for agro-industry. I excel in fast-paced and multitasking environments and can think on my feet. Notably, I received two PATA International Gold Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2012) and Beijing, China, which is a great achievement.(2011), initiating two recipients of the UK's Guinness World Records for the UNESCO World Culture Heritage Borobudur's Largest Buddhist Temple (2012), and Indonesia’s Ramayana Dance parade (2013). I also hold a Master's degree (M.A.) in Mathematics Statistics from City University of New York, USA, and a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.)in Applied Statistics & Operational Research from New York University, Polytechnic School of Engineering, New York USA. Additionally, I earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr.) in Agroindustrial Technology from IPB University. I have also completed leadership development training at GE's Jack F. Welch Leadership Development Center in Crotonville, New York, USA, and received training in International Advertising - InterAd's Strategic Marketing at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona, USA. Agus Canny, eldest son of J. Canny and Hobsah Sumarni, leads the Canny family in continuing the legacy of excellence established by Prakarya International, a pioneer in vocational education. My siblings, Ir. Arif Setiabudi Canny; Dra. Deni Canny; Pieter Canny, MBA, CPA; Andrew Canny, MBA; Drs. Rudy Canny; and Eva Canny, M.Pschy, also contribute to the family's ongoing success.
