About Agustina Arce
I was born in Uruguay and grew up in Florida. I've always yearned to be a doctor, and thus began my journey to volunteering and pursuing a pre-medical track at the University of Florida. I am very passionate about working with underserved communities, and underrepresented minorities in education. Growing up uninsured and tackling the complex healthcare system in our country, while also being a first-generation student opened my eyes to the significance of mentorship and advocacy.Currently, I am pursuing a medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University as a first year student. I aim to become involved with the vulnerable communities in Philadelphia, with a particular focus on health literacy. I've always loved working with younger children and serving as a mentor, and hope to continue doing that during my free time!In addition to this, I enjoy rock climbing and spending time at the beach with my Lab!
