I am a Medical Laboratory Technician with seven years of experience in the lab. I have been working for my current employer Quest Diagnostics for the last three years. I have gained experienced with different types of instrumentation HamiltionSTAR, Sebia Capillary, LYNX i1800, Abbott Architect, LYNX i730, Abbott Prism, BC-3600 Hemotology analyzers, Grifols Ertyra, CTL, Roche Cobas, and ELISHA Assay Plates I worked four years at Interstate Blood Bank Inc. I was assigned to the Serology department where I perform Chemiluminescent testing with Abbott Next Prism system. During my time there I was also trained in ELISA Assay plating, RPR, and blood typing testing. Though my experience in the hospital setting has been limited to just my rotational training in school. I will say I am more than capable to work in a hospital setting. At my current job even though I am MLT I have shown to be responsible enough to run third shift on my own and make appropriate judgment calls without supervision. I show excellent team building skills by following directives as well as helping others execute their tasks. As I continue my career in this field I would like to expand on my skills and work in different environments. I am currently in school for MLS I'm in my first year.
