About Ahmad Ibrahim

Chemistry and ecology may seem like a dichotomy in appearance, but I have made it my mission to reconcile the two together. Driven by polymer chemistry and formulations since day one, my career turned out to be a bit atypical. My curiosity for chemical formulation led me to an engineering degree in formulation chemistry. Very early on, I became interested in photochemistry, which led me to a long career in this field with several patents. Always in the spirit of carbon footprint reduction for industrial production, in all my work I pay particular attention to the use of ecological, bio-based and/or biodegradable components. My choice goes for products with the least environmental impact. Researcher within the CTT Group and chemist (specialist in polymers, chemical surface treatments and textile finishing), I am in charge of training, supervision, task planning, consultation, formulation and the facilitation of R&D projects. In other words, my job is to plan and coordinate applied R&D projects to develop new products that meet specific business performance requirements. Technical Expertise: Chemistry for textiles, Protective textiles, Waterproof-breathable membranes, CBRN membranes, Radical and/or cationic photochemistry, Polymer chemistry, Formulations Chemistry, 3D printing, Polymer mechanics, Applied materials sciences.
