About Ahmad Junaidi
I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FKIP) at Universitas Mataram in Lombok. I am also the co-founder and director of Jage Kastare Foundation (JKF), a volunteer-powered youth learning centre working in education and social-entrepreneurship in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara founded in 2013. Upon completing my Masters degree at the University of Adelaide in 2013, I have been actively involved in youth civic engagement including working with JKF and university student clubs under my supervision at Universitas Mataram. In 2015, I was granted Community Solutions Program (CSP) Fellowship along with 50 other emerging young leaders worldwide. I interned at Chicago Youth Center where I worked with African-american teenagers in Bronzeville and two other neighbourhoods in Chicago for four months. I hold a PhD degree from Faculty of Education at Monash University researching the cognitive development of pre-service English teachers from sociocultural perspective. My other interests include teaching Indonesian language as a foreign language, etymology, and prolonged indoor activities.
