A work-in-progress academic, aspiring college professor, and passionate writer, I am deeply invested in understanding and articulating the complexities of humor, everyday experiences in contemporary Egypt. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of California, Irvine, my research explores the intersection of politics, culture, and social life, with a particular focus on how humor has been evolving. Beyond academia, I am a storyteller, a stand-up comedy enthusiast, and an advocate for accessible and engaging education. I aspire to inspire the next generation of scholars, bridging the gap between academic scholarship and public discourse through teaching, writing, and media production. My goal is to make knowledge relatable and thought-provoking—whether in the classroom, through academic writing, or in creative projects such as graphic novels, YouTube content, or storytelling initiatives. With a background spanning anthropology, psychology, and global studies, I am constantly seeking new ways to engage with complex ideas and translate them into meaningful conversations. I believe in the power of humor, critical thinking, and cultural analysis to challenge dominant narratives and create space for nuanced understandings of human experience.
