Education: The American University at Washington D.C, USA, B.Sc. in Physics May 1986; University of Maryland at College Park, USA, B.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering May 1987; University of Maryland at College Park, USA, M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering May 1989;University of Maryland at College Park, USA, Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering May 1992. Experience: 22 years (1992 - 2013) as Nuclear Scientist in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) including 4 years as Director of Atomic Energy Research Institute (2002 - 2006). Main achievements include- Establishment of Radiation Technology Center in KACST including 11 related laboratories (1992 - 2013)- Establishment of Technical Cooperation Programs between KSA and IAEA in many nuclear fields (1994 - 2017)- Establishment of National Center for Radiation Protection in KACST in 2003- Establishment of National Center for Radioactive Waste Management in KACST in 2003. 5 years (2013 - 2018) at King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) as a Professor and Director of National Center for Radiation Protection (NCRP). 2 Years (2019 - 2020) at Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRS) as a Professor and Director of Radiological Regulatory Sector. 1 Year (2021 - Present) at King Saud University as an Adjunct Professor of Nuclear Engineering at College of Engineering for M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering Program. Scientific Achievements- 100 Scientific Publications- 30 Patents- Conducting 23 Research Projects in Nuclear Applications funded by KACST, Saudi Aramco and SABIC including international cooperation projects between KSA and France and Germany. Current Job: Adjunct Professor at M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering Program in College of Engineering in King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
