With over 22 years of extensive experience in the aviation industry, I have cultivated a robust career that began as a B1 Aircraft Mechanical Engineer with Yemen Airways. My journey continued with a senior engineering role at Qatar Airways, where I honed my technical expertise in aircraft maintenance and operations. In my subsequent position with Fly Baghdad Airlines, I played a pivotal role in establishing the airline's operation and compliance departments. My contributions spanned multiple leadership roles, including Chief Technical Officer, Maintenance Director, Head of Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), and Engineering Manager. I successfully enhanced the planning department by implementing reliability reports and data analysis, as well as creating aircraft data and monitoring systems that improved operational efficiency. My career advanced as I took on the role of Vice President of Ground Handling, where I managed both the ground handling department and operations across hub and outstation facilities. From there, I transitioned into leadership roles as the Director of Quality, Safety and Security Director, and ERP Manager, ensuring that all operations met stringent regulatory standards. I wrote comprehensive manuals to ensure compliance with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) and aligned our practices with ICAO protocols. In addition to these responsibilities, I served as the project manager for IOSA certification and actively participated in the EASA Third Country Operators (TCO) application and communication process, further enhancing my expertise in aviation safety and regulatory compliance. Most recently, I was hired by Air Canada as a Team Leader, where I continue to leverage my significant background in aviation engineering, operations management, and compliance to drive performance and safety excellence in a dynamic international environment. My multifaceted experience has equipped me with a unique skill set and an in-depth understanding of the aviation industry's complexities and challenges.
