About Ahmet Celen

I’m a Clinical Respiratory Physiologist with over six years of experience working with patients across a range of respiratory conditions, including asthma and chronic lung disease. My background spans both clinical practice and academic research, with a strong focus on improving respiratory care through evidence-based approaches. Currently, I’m pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, where I’m researching alternative treatments using nutraceuticals to manage asthma in polluted environments. I’m also an Honorary Lecturer in Medical Physiology at Middlesex University, specialising in the pathophysiological features of respiratory diseases and diagnostic strategies. Alongside my research, I’m currently exploring part-time opportunities (1–2 days a week) that align with my expertise in respiratory care and physiology. As PhD grants are often limited, I’m looking for a flexible and meaningful role that supports both my academic journey and the rising cost of living. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between clinical care and research to support better outcomes for people living with respiratory conditions, particularly in today’s increasingly challenging environmental landscape.
