About Aida Landa

Aida M. Landa is a senior litigator in MSP Recovery Law Firm’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Device division. Ms. Landa focuses her healthcare practice on the representation of Medicare Advantage Organizations, first tier and downstream providers, and other health insurers and third-party payers in complex pharmaceutical and medical device related recoveries under federal and state antitrust, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), products liability and consumer protection statutes. The pharmaceutical and medical device recoveries are sought in state and federal court throughout the United States, including Multi-District Litigation (MDL). Ms. Landa’s practice also includes engaging in complex and comprehensive E-Discovery. In addition to trial work, Ms. Landa's practice extends to appellate advocacy at both the state and federal levels Prior to joining MSP Recovery Law Firm, Ms. Landa was a shareholder at Peterson Bernard. In her twenty-five plus years of practice, Ms. Landa has acquired extensive experience in complex state and federal litigation and appeals encompassing several areas of the law including, but not limited to, healthcare recoveries, premises liability, products liability, automobile / trucking accidents, industrial / construction accidents, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, professional malpractice, construction litigation, property damage, insurance disputes and class actions. Throughout her career, Ms. Landa has litigated hundreds of cases, negotiated favorable settlements, and prevailed on summary judgment and trial on behalf of a wide range of clients, from individuals to corporations, including several matters with multi-million-dollar exposure. Ms. Landa is a Miami, Florida native. She received her Bachelor of Science in criminal justice at Florida International University, graduating summa cum laude in 1994. In 1997, Ms. Landa received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. Ms. Landa has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1998. She is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida; United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida; United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
