About Aidan C.

I am currently continuing my studies as an MA student in the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's East Asian Languages and Literatures department, after completing my BA in Applied Linguistics & TESOL at Georgia State University. Focusing on Japanese and Okinawan linguistics, I am further developing my expertise in subfields such as sociolinguistics, syntax, and pedagogy. My current graduate assistantship position allows me to apply this, along with my previous work experience, in the classroom as I figure out how to teach Japanese and hone my skills in this area. Although my long-term career goal is to do research, I believe a great researcher starts by fostering a wide range of experiences, and grows by synthesizing these together in all of their work. I hope to exemplify this in my future endeavors!
