About Aidan Franko
I am a graduate student at the Northern Arizona University School of Forestry. I am working with the Ecological Restoration Institute on social science research related to the Wood for Life partnership, wilderness area policy and management, reforestation policy, and the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program. In 2019 I graduated with my bachelors degree in Environmental Policy from Colorado College. During my undergraduate experience I held research and intern positions working on issues including invasive species management, food system policy, and social-ecological systems frameworks. After graduating I explored the links between environmental policy and food systems through nonprofit and organic farm work. Now I am pursuing my passion for forest and ecosystem policy and management as a masters student at Northern Arizona University.
