About Aidan Leslie

With over 20 years experience across Banking, Stockbroking and Private Equity my primary focus is helping businesses turn their data into real-time actionable intelligence. My experience & expertise allows me to understand how the People, Systems and Processes interact to create the vast amounts of data that then needs to be structured, governed and reported on. My niche is to work with software engineers, business operatives and the most senior level of management to define what we are trying to achieve (performance) and what we are trying to avoid (risks) and to ensure that all our underlying data products and reporting have the correct models and metrics. The span of my career and my particular skillset has given me front row seats to highly intense, commercially sensitive situations and to bring my expertise to bear in building up new systems, procedures and reporting to manage these difficult situations while helping to drive commercial success: • I was in Davy Stockbrokers during the 2008 GFC working in private client credit control and institutional credit risk, closely monitoring cap call delinquency, open trade positions and legal book. • My time in BOI was spent building up a new Analytics team in response to the Mortgage Arrears Crisis and the new CCMA legislation. Following this I worked as part of a specialised team to redesign BOI board reporting. • Following major investment by Cerberus into NPL and Real Estate deals in Ireland I joined the advisory business helping to build up all aspects of reporting. This covered the full deal life cycle; underwriting, onboarding, workout, refinancing, fundraising and portfolio/securitisation trades. The reporting templates I set up for the NPL/RE deals became the Global standard template. • Since mid-2023 I have been working for KKR helping to centralise all aspects of Treasury into a single business unit including structuring and publishing Treasury data products and building up suites of reporting for; wire controls, entity structures and account management and most particularly to create a real time globalised dashboard of all cash deposits and money-market positions. I am a highly driven individual and am always eager to take on a new challenge. I believe in being a brand ambassador for any project I'm involved in, working to ensuring we have full buy-in from all parties and that everyone has the knowledge and training they need. I'm highly analytical (SAS, SQL, Power-Bi, Excel & Python) but I would say my biggest contribution is being able to turn complex problems into real world solutions.
