About Aidan Limpic
As a student pursuing Bioengineering and PreMed at Clemson University, I am passionate about improving healthcare through both clinical and engineering approaches. I am currently exploring regenerative medicine with a focus on intervertebral disc repair, contributing to the development of scaffolds from decellularized cow tail intervertebral discs for potential use in stem cell-based therapies. While I am deeply involved in research, I am also pursuing hands-on clinical experience, including a surgical internship where I scrubbed into the operating room and assisted in various procedures, including carpal tunnel release and laparoscopic surgeries. These experiences have greatly strengthened my desire to pursue a career in medicine, where I can merge my technical expertise with my passion for patient care. At this stage in my academic and professional journey, I am deciding between becoming a surgeon or a bioengineer. Both fields offer unique opportunities to create meaningful advancements in healthcare, and I am excited to contribute to this evolution in whichever path l ultimately choose.
