About Aideen Gallagher

An NUIG graduate, achieving a first-class honours in a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Microbiology. Currently working as a microbiologist with Baxter Healthcare. My responsibilities include-Conducting routine environmental monitoring of all complexes (on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis)- Recording all data on LIMS, excel and paperwork - Updating procedures - Conducting Real Time Risk Assessments on a monthly basis throughout the plant - Compiling quarterly and annual reviews - Endotoxin testing via LAL method - Review of endotoxin testing - Completing laboratory investigations related to out of limits/ negative trends. Through my previous role with NVP energy my work focused heavily on research within environmental science, which developed useful skills such as- Desk research from past efforts in similar studies- Implementing lab-based reactor trials with wastewater - Troubleshooting issues regarding the treatment of different wastewaters and their effect on anaerobic sludge I am a hard-working individual and always strive complete tasks to the highest possible standard. I am eager to enhance my current skill set and learn new skills to help further my career in the scientific field.
