About Aija Cave

I am dedicated to providing equitable and inclusive access to museums through innovative public programming and curating. Fueled by my passion for the arts, my goal is to expand perspectives and challenge power structures in arts and culture spaces. Currently, as the Cultural Programs Coordinator at Taliesin West, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Scottsdale, AZ, I am part of a team that fosters local and global engagement to create programs for adults that tie to the mission the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. With a Master's in Collections and Curating Practices from the University of Edinburgh, my work combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in community outreach, volunteer engagement and training, as well as project planning and oversight. Over the past 5 years, I've successfully curated and coordinated impactful programs for renowned institutions in New York City, Phoenix, and Edinburgh. My undergraduate degree in Individualized Study (NYU, emphasis: Sociology of the Arts and Art History) equipped me with interdisciplinary skills that have helped to foster creative thinking in professional environments. As I continue my journey, I aspire to further shape the narrative of inclusive cultural spaces and contribute to the evolution of museum practices on a global scale.
