About Aileen Hadaway

I recently completed the first year of a Master's in Somatic Psychotherapy in Boulder, CO. August 2022-May 23 I was been an Ambassador for the nonprofit The Pad Project, through which I hosted readings and film screenings of the book/Oscar-winning documentary "Period. End of Sentence," organized menstrual product drives, and co-edited a menstrual-themed Literary/Art Magazine,"Bad Blood Magazine, Vol 2." In August 2023 I returned to The Pad Project as an Advisor to the Arts Track cohort, leading a cohort of 14 Ambassadors around the globe, and supported them in their own menstrual equity projects and in publishing “Bad Blood Magazine, Vol. 3.” I completed my BA in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Georgia State University in 2021, graduating summa cum laude. I minored in Film & Media Studies, and in the Spring of 2020 was Director of Photography for the short film "On The Other Side" which won 1st place for documentaries at GSU and top 5 nationally in the Campus Movie Fest competition. I was raised in Fairbanks, Alaska but have also lived in Atlanta, GA, Bozeman, MT, Charlottesville, VA, St. Thomas, USVI, and currently reside in Boulder, CO. While "the body" is arguably my primary area of interest, I am also passionate about the environment, herbalism, intersectional feminism, the visual arts, and aspects of pop culture (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for one). I live with my partner Isaac and our lovely Tuxedo Cat, Mau.
