Led on the Operational Effectiveness (OE) exercise in Compliance Assurance at HSBC, which resulted in the successful completion and Operating Committee approval of 13 Global-level Workstream Exits, 775 Country-level Workstream Closures and up to 59 Full Country-level Closures. The team were an essential OE Programme completion tollgate and critical component in the lifting of the five-year Deferred Prosecution Agreement, imposed by the US Department of Justice. Empowered the Risk Assurance team at SLI through coaching and development which resulted in approx. 25% more reviews being completed each quarter. Instrumental in improving the personal performance rating of three direct reports and the promotion of the team Trainee to Consultant level. Led the Assurance team’s Workstream on the Dealing & Oversight Management project at SLI, which resulted in the successful implementation of a new Conflicts of Interest System (Compass). Following the implementation of Compass, supported a companywide programme at SLI to introduce staff to the concept and requirements of being an Access Person. Implemented and oversaw the Conflicts of Interest employee annual attestation process. Co-ordinated the successful implementation of U-Buy (new purchase-to-pay system) at SLI. Created a process and training guide and trained all SLI system users. Managed the changeover of all corporate bank accounts to HSBC at SLI, implemented the HSBCnet payment system and trained staff on its use. Supported the successful implementation of the Revport revenue system at SLI, introduced and maintained processes and controls and managed reporting enhancements.
