About Ailsa Howatt

I grew up with a compassionate heart, giving is what I enjoy doing. just so happens that giving also requires a steady paycheck so here I am! I am a 27 year old, graduate out of the University of Alberta, with a Bachelor of Arts Major in History degree in 2021. People describe me as a bright bubbly individual (especially after coffee), who's down to Earth, hard working to a fault and is not afraid to tell individuals what they need to hear. People would also describe me as a social butterfly introvert, I'm quite reserved to new people but my personality really shines through once I have gotten to know you better. Growing up I was always told by my parents to "love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life". To some extent that is true, however hard work and perseverance have gotten me to where I am today. Any skill or data base I do not have proficiency in I am willing to learn for the job, and usually learn quite quickly. My specialties include: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, Outlook, Historical Research and writing, Communication and Presentations, Streamlabs OBS, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Things that I'm currently learning to use include Microsoft Excel, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Publisher. My personal interests include: Streaming, meeting new people, reading fiction books for a bit of brain candy, walking my dog, video games, knitting/crocheting/crafting. In terms of historical personal interests, areas such as Western Canadian History, Canadian Military History, Habsburg History, and Human Plagues and Disease history usually catches my interest.
