About Aimee Bird

I worked as a volunteer with the Salvation Army for 6 months in 2019. This volunteer position inspired me to follow a career that helps people who are severely disadvantaged. I worked a combination of approximately 18 months at McDonald’s and Chemist Warehouse which provided me the opportunity to work alongside colleagues and assist customers from all walks of life. It also allowed me to gain experience is completing tasks independently and cooperatively with others. Whilst I was working at chemist warehouse to gain practical experience, I decided I wanted to continue expanding my knowledge regarding helping the disadvantaged. So I began studying a bachelor degree of criminology and justice at the Australian College of Applied Psychology in addition to studying an advanced certificate in psychology and counselling. Once I graduate from university I would love to achieve my goal of obtaining a job where I can continue to help people who suffer from numerous disadvantages.
