About Aimee Cox

I am a patient-focused, Registered Respiratory Therapist, that is highly committed to delivering the highest quality of care when working as a member of multidisciplinary care teams. My strongest skills include, however are not limited to; invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation management, airway management (endotracheal intubation/ extubation, bag mask ventilation), pulmonary function testing, arterial/venous/capillary blood gas sampling and interpretation, chest x-ray interpretation, tracheostomy care and changes, aerosol and medical gas therapy (Airvo, Optiflow), tracheotomy and bronchoscopy assisting, 3/12/15 lead electrocardiography, polysomnography, as well as bronchopulmonary therapy (cough assist, suctioning). I am proudly certified in basic cardiac life support (BCLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and neonatal resuscitation (NRP). In my future endeavours I plan to work towards my certification in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and the certified respiratory educator (CRE) credential which will provide me with comprehensive, evidence informed knowledge in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) care. I am very dedicated and passionate towards the Respiratory Therapy profession and am eager to broaden my experiences. I feel honoured to work in a career where I have the opportunity to help others breathe.
