About Aimee Cuschieri Borg

My past working experiences were part-time at MLS BioDNA and WSC (Water Services Corporation). At MLS BioDNA I was responsible for co-ordinating the chemistry section and also carried out all the analysis which was required – including UV Spectrometry, organic and inorganic analysis, GCMS for toxicological testing and water analysis. I also carried out DNA testing via genetic analysers. At WSC I was responsible of managing all activities related to the microbiology laboratory, from analysis to documentation to results interpretation. I currently work full time as a QA officer and am responsible of project managing of Importations. I manage the overall system, from initial communication with the clients in order to initiate sharing and obtaining of relevant documentation for both QC testing and QA reviewing (batch records, API excipient COAs, method transfers, packaging materials COAs etc…), supplier qualification, Technical agreements compilation, QP Declarations, up until the final stages when, following the issuing of the QC Certificate of Analysis, all relevant documentation is passed on to the Qualified Person for release of the product. I co-ordinate the process flow and liaise with all departments, including QC, QA, Warehouse and Logistics in order to ensure that all imported batches are released correctly and on as per schedule. Furthermore, I am also responsible of PQRs (annual Product Quality Reviews), validation of QC computerized methods, pharmacovigilance and am also trained in other minor fields such as change controls, compliance checks etc… I consider myself a responsible person, up for a challenge and experienced in co-ordinating extensive projects.
