About Aimee Gavin

I’m a communications professional with over 15 years of experience in mandate-driven organizations. I help non-profits untangle jargon, clear the clutter, and tell stories that spark change. I am fluent in non-profit-ese and policy-speak. I know the pain of "editing by committee." I understand mission and vision (and the difference between them). I've done more with less – and even more with even less the next year. I can plan, strategize, and create integrated content that will inform and engage your stakeholders. Then honestly scrutinize what I've accomplished and make improvements for next time. During my career, I've developed content for web pages, blogs, newsletters, fundraising appeals, direct mail, testimonials, webinars, social media, annual reports, print ads, radio jingles, advocacy letters, religious devotions, textbooks, brochures, calls to action, handbooks, gift tags, and many other projects in between.(I’m still particularly proud of those gift tags.) I am a plain-language fanatic who loves board games, digital trends, social justice, social media, social justice on social media, laughing at bad movies, and singing entire Broadway musicals in my head.
