About Aimee Hayes

I am a confident educator keen to support people from under-represented groups to access Higher Education. I strive to provide equal opportunities for students from these backgrounds and I am currently creating a programme to support students with their transition into University. I have worked with young people and adults within a variety of settings, and pride myself in my ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the people I support. I have supported a host of high schools and further education colleges in Suffolk supporting their students (year 9-13 or FE equivalent) with information, advice and guidance on entering Higher Education. I have experience offering 1:1 mentoring, organising and running workshops, delivering assemblies, arranging trips alongside inviting external organisations to deliver bespoke sessions. I have experience of coordinating a number of large conferences at the University of Suffolk, hosting up to 140 students. I volunteer as a Governor for a local school, I am a member of the Suffolk DEI network and the University of Suffolk Anti-Racism Collective.
