About Aimee Henning

I am passionate about using circular design and systems thinking principles to solve today’s sustainability challenges. My goal is to help organizations transition away from a linear economic model toward a circular economic model using qualitative and quantitative frameworks that ensure the efficient allocation of scarce resources. My key focus areas are- Circular Design - Stakeholder Analysis & Engagement - Value Mapping - Process Reengineering - Sustainability Strategies Preceding my Master's, I spent ten years working in Product Design, Interior Architecture, and Project Management. Prior to this, I worked in Finance as an analyst, and in Banking as part of the business development team. My design experience is demonstrated through the successful implementation of over 50 projects across commercial, cultural, and residential spaces. My focus was to deliver a superior user experience through empathy-driven design using the principles of systems thinking. I have had the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals and architectural practices including international firm Adjaye Associates, and local firms Daffonchio Architects, Design Workshop, Local Studio, and Paragon Architects. I have the following key technical competencies- Detailed experience in project management; blending creative problem-solving with implementation- Detailed experience in working with multiple stakeholders and collaborating with external consultants- Detailed knowledge and experience in project costing- Detailed knowledge of product design and prototyping- Detailed knowledge and experience in full architectural modeling and construction drawings- Detailed experience in project proposal presentation design and delivery- Working knowledge of project environmental and social impact- Detailed knowledge and experience in 3D modeling software, Adobe CS, and collaborative software.
