Background
About Aimee K.
Driven by relentless curiosity, a commitment to service, and a desire to make a positive impact, I embraced a career change during the pandemic. When the University of Washington became the first U.S. university to go remote, I saw how crucial staff were in managing online transition risks. As the assistant director of academic services for an online BA program, co-leader of UW’s Advising with Technology group, and a board member of the Adviser Education Program, I created resources and support sessions to help colleagues move to remote services, focusing on privacy, security, and accessibility. This work inspired me to leave my leadership role for a new opportunity to contribute to building a privacy program at UW. Despite the shift, my mission-driven approach, problem-solving skills, and interdisciplinary mindset remain central to my work as a business analyst.
