About Aimee King

I grew up with a strong appreciation for cooking and trying new dishes. My passion for food grew as I did and soon enough I wanted to learn more. Before attending Johnson & Wales University I learned everything I could about baking and pastry arts. Upon acceptance to Johnson & Wales I quickly immersed myself in the world of baking and pastry, but it wasn't enough. After completing my Associate's degree in Baking & Pastry Arts, I enrolled in a second major of Culinary Arts. Since completing both my degrees I have continued to learn new techniques and hone my skills so I can properly show my passion for food in my work. My time at Johnson & Wales also gave me a strong foundation in business and accounting. I am able to use financial statements to help me make better business decisions, and have a good understanding of how economic events can influence business as well. I continued my education at Bristol Community College to better fit the next stage in my life. While foodservice is still near and dear to my heart, a shift to Accounting better suited my needs. With a strong foundation built by Johnson and Wales my new Associate’s degree in Accounting fine tunes my skills for the career shift.
