About Aimie Wright

I am a 26 year old proud indigenous women from the Yuin Budawang community. I have over 8 years of experience working with children and adolescent, my career started with the department of education as a learning support assistant in various schools across ACT. In 2017 I completed my certificate IV in education support. In 2021 I became a support worker for the out of home care services under child protection services, this lead me into a case management position with ACTTogether where I managed a case load of 12 clients, supporting my clients in their kinship placements. Currently I am working for the Department Of Health in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Childhood Early Intrevention Programs. I am also studying counselling, this study will be complete in 12 months. I have a great knowledge regarding trauma informed care, youth justice services and working with children and families with additional needs. I have a passion for making a difference within the community and endeavour to support my clients, families and colleagues using my previous skills, experiences and knowledge.
