About Aimran Abd Hamid

I started my Petronas journey in October 2010, now with almost 13 years of experience in Upstream and Downstream Project management. My roles over the years involved project control on cost and schedule, focusing more on cost control, schedule and project management. Some of the projects that I have successfully delivered include: • Planning and executing five onshore wells in the Badra Field, Iraq while successfully secured the Final Investment Decision (FID) and necessary sanctions to get the Badra project off the ground • Plan and monitor over 20 major offshore drilling campaigns with a total of 60 wells drilled with 1 specific project namely Samarang Ph1AD, was sanctioned and executed in 8 months and achieved 1st Hydrocarbon 2 months ahead of time and RM 20 Mil of cost savings. • Involved with the planning of Samarang Ph 2 EOR with CAPEX value of RM 4 Billion • Involved in monitoring of Dulang Redelopment Phase 2 with a project value of over RM 3 Billion • Safeguarding Petronas's investment for over 40 projects developed by other operators such as ExxonMobil, Shell, HESS and Enquest by monitoring the progress of work as well as challenging the operator on the cost performance in terms of estimating and budgeting works. Help to secure Final Investment Decision for over 10 projects during the same period of time whilst ensuring budget of RM 1.9 Billion was scrutinized and executed as per plan within 2% of variance. • SSGP project, where I was part of the rectification team after the fire incident, and helped to clean up the project control, governance and stopped leakages of change orders amounting to RM 200 Million.
