About Aisha Behr

As an AI & Machine Learning lead, I am responsible for integrating data, implementing machine learning models, and applying statistical and programming methods to build enterprise solutions that support end users and the analytics processes. My expertise lies in developing analytic solutions with both structured and unstructured data using open-source tools in a cloud-native environment on AWS. Additionally, I have experience developing real-time, automated machine learning pipelines using AWS services such as DynamoDB streams and AWS Lambda. Throughout my work, I gather data requirements and collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, data analysts, system operations, consultants, and customers, to deliver high-quality data analytic products. I have also developed and presented data science solutions, ETL processes, spatial analysis, network node diagrams, and clustering algorithm predictions to showcase the program's data architecture and data science capabilities. My academic research has been focused on enhancing recommender system algorithms by integrating spatial structures into collaborative filtering techniques. By leveraging distance, spatial arrangement, and hidden patterns of data, the methods in my research have been able to efficiently enhance the interpolation and prediction of data. I have also built algorithms that improve the explainability in machine learning models by integrating statistical techniques. Another contribution to my research has been in enhancing the accuracy of recommendations by addressing the acute challenge of sparsity in matrices. I achieved this by incorporating spatial information to create denser matrices, resulting in more precise predictions. I have tested and applied the enhanced recommender engine to various applications.
