About Aisha Farah

Growing up I’ve always had a passion for helping others; especially children and youth from all walks of life. Throughout my high school year, and in my 20’s I’ve had the privilege to work and volunteer with many youth and community focused organization’s. I graduated from the Child and Youth Care Workers’ program at George Brown college, and before that I had graduated from the Community Workers’ program at George Brown College. Some organizations I’ve had the opportunity to work with are Toronto Community Housing (summer camp lead, building community facilitator), Warden woods community centre (after school program lead), TDSB Sir William Osler High school (volunteer placement student) where I had the most rewarding privilege of being able to work with autistic teens in a classroom setting — alongside child and youth care workers. I also had the opportunity to work at Heart Beatz cliffcrest community centre, where I was the youth engagement coordinator for a summer program. I am Microsoft efficient, and very familiar with social media and how to navigate the digital world. I enjoy challenging myself & I am a quick learner. I am someone who is able to multi-task whether in a calm or chaotic work environment. I see myself as a reserved individual who strives to learn new things day in and day out. Wherever I am in life, I always hope to be a beacon of light to those around me.
