About Aishwaria Pathmanesan

Aishwaria Pathmanesan is an incoming fourth year student at University of Toronto and a candidate for Honours Bachelor Of Science who is double majoring in Human Biology and Psychology. She's an avid learner and over the years and currently, she has involved herself in many activities that keens her interest. She has consistently taken on leadership roles, including creating AspiringxPediatrician, an organization dedicated to creating accessible resources and opportunities for those interested in pediatrics. From April 2023 to September 2024, she volunteered as a Research Assistant at the Therapeutic Interventions for Psychosis (TIP) Research Lab, where she gained hands-on experience with clinical psychology methods and assisted in cognitive and clinical assessments as part of ongoing studies focused on developing treatments for psychosis. She has worked as a Research Assistant with the Developmental & Computational Affective Cognition Lab in the past to support their research on how infants and children interpret their environments using vocal cues, body language, and emotions. Alongside her academic involvement, Aishwaria works part-time at Old Navy, where her strong customer service skills enhance customer’s shopping experience. Most recently, she has begun a new role as a Research Assistant at UHN TIER, continuing to broaden her understanding of various areas within psychology.
