About Aj Morlen

Currently, I am a junior studying Organizational Leadership at Purdue University and have had the opportunity of working alongside the Purdue Baseball staff, enhancing my education of life, school, and baseball. In addition, I coach the 16u Indiana Nitro Gold team alongside Nitro founder Tim Burns, expanding my ability to coach, lead, and help players advance to the next level. At Purdue, I contribute as Video Coordinator, ensuring/uploading video and data from multiple metric gathering devices (Rapsodo, Trackman, Synergy, Synergy Logger, AXIS Camera Station) are accessible to coaches and players for games both home and away. In addition to working with technology, I work alongside other student managers as an on-field manager setting up drills/practice and assisting coaches during practice. While being at Purdue, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience on time management, team work, adaptability, computer and video technology, in addition to what it takes to support and assist a Power 5, Division I baseball program. Prior to attending Purdue, I studied at Indiana University and Hamilton Southeastern High School. I played baseball for over 10 years learning from Jason Taulman,(former assistant at Marian, Butler and Ball State pitching coach) currently a pitching coach at Lawrence North High School, and Bobby Bell,(former hitting coach for the Miami Marlins) currently a minor league hitting coach in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.
