About Aja Shaw

My name is Aja Shaw, and I have been studying architecture and business for the past five years, driven by my passion for innovative design and thoughtful construction. I am honored to have received two design excellence awards, recognizing my commitment to creative and functional design solutions. Over the past two years, my role at my university’s Design Library has strengthened my ability to conduct in-depth research, making me a more resourceful designer. The mentorship I have received both in school and beyond has pushed me to think bigger and develop confidence as a design professional. I aim to begin my career at a construction firm, gaining firsthand experience in the building process to refine my architectural expertise. My primary interests lie in residential and office projects, particularly in transforming existing spaces into thriving businesses. One of my long-term goals is to renovate a space into a wedding venue—a project that allows me to merge my love for architecture, business, and event design.
