About Ajay Kumar Doshi

Ajay is the Managing Partner in Doshi Chatterjee Bagri & Co LLP He has nearly 43 years of experience in tax, audit, and finance. He was associated with S.R. Batliboi & Co./Ernst & Young in different capacities for nearly 25 years including as Partner/Head of taxation department at Kolkata for a period of nearly 15 years. He has immense exposure both in direct and indirect taxes. He specialises in Corporate Tax, Tax Planning, Cross-border Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Foreign collaboration etc. He has been advising a number of multinationals and renowned Indian industry groups on tax matters and has to his credit a number of favourable settlements by the tax department at assessment and appeal stages. He was on the Board of Directors of a Public Sector Bank and during his terms as director was also chairman of the audit committee. He was also a permanent member of management committee while being a director of this public sector bank. He is actively involved in various Chambers of Commerce and was in the Tax sub-committee of ASSOCHAM, Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Indian Chamber of Commerce. He has also been taken as an external member of the Finance Committee of IIM Ranchi. His articles and comments on critical issues have been published in newspapers a number of times. He has been appointed the Chairman of BKR International’s Asia Pacific Region and was a member of BKR International’s Worldwide Board.
