About Ajay Mili

I am a passionate pharmaceutical researcher with a strong interest in drug discovery, computational biology, and preclinical pharmacology. Currently, I have submitted my Ph.D. thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), MAHE, where my work focuses on the identification and development of Nrf2 activators to protect against Drug-Induced Liver Injury (DILI) and chronic alcohol-induced liver toxicity. My research expertise spans computational drug design (reaction-based enumeration, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations), organic synthesis, in vitro cell culture assays, and in vivo preclinical models. I have also contributed to peer-reviewed publications in reputed journals (Q1/Q2) and actively participated in peer-review activities for scientific journals like Phytochemistry Reviews and BMC Nephrology. Beyond the laboratory, I have mentored postgraduate and undergraduate students, contributed to scientific conferences, and engaged in multidisciplinary workshops. My work is driven by a deep interest in translational research, aiming to bridge computational insights with practical therapeutic outcomes. I am keen to continue contributing to the scientific community by exploring novel therapeutic targets, strengthening multidisciplinary collaborations, and advancing research that brings meaningful healthcare solutions.
