About Ajay Verma

I’m Ajay Verma, Founder and Managing Director of KenAR Architects, with over three decades of experience in architecture and urban design. My academic foundation includes a B.Arch from IIT Roorkee (1986), an M.Arch in Urban Design from SPA Delhi (1992), and an M.S. in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati (1995). My career began under the legendary Charles Correa, where I worked as studio manager in his Bangalore office. That formative phase instilled in me a deep respect for contextual, human-centric design — a principle that continues to guide me. Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of project typologies, but in recent years, my focus has sharpened: at KenAR, we now specialize in crafting bespoke luxury residences and villas. Our belief is simple — that true luxury lies in timeless spaces, thoughtful details, and architectural honesty. Alongside practice, I find immense joy in mentoring young architects and guiding the next generation to think boldly and design with purpose. We are now on a mission to take KenAR’s design philosophy to a global audience — designing soulful homes that feel like they’ve always belonged, no matter where in the world they’re built.
