I am a dedicated, driven, dependable professional who loves learning new things and self-improvement. I have over a year of experience at different retail establishments where I worked as a Sales Associate delighting customers with my sales skills and handling upset customers. I went above and beyond for every customer and in the process earned 5 glowing customer reviews on surveys. Through my work, I acquired skills such as communication, sales, and customer service. I have experience as a Financial Analyst at Colgate where I worked with accounting teams of 5 subsidiaries of Colgate in Africa and Eurasia, I went above and beyond by identifying opportunities for automation and took the initiative to improve the accounting process using VBA Excel Macros. I also coached new interns and taught them the ropes. Through my work, I acquired technical skills such as Excel, VBA Macros, SAP FICO, attention to detail, verbal and written communication, presentation, and teamwork. As a student at Lambton, I took part in all extra curricular activities, I was the sole recipient of the Academic Excellence Scholarship for Term 1 in the School of Business. During my Financial Planning course I also completed the Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) license I was President of the Business Professionals Club at Lambton College where I worked, along with a team of 9 volunteers, to connect students to the local Sarnia-Lambton Business community by partnering up with the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations. I took the initiative to reach out to successful alumni and invited them to hold workshops on career guidance in college. I went above and beyond to invite industry professionals in the region using personalized invitations took ownership of the club and ran it as my own brain-child. Through my endeavours, I was able to gain skills such as leadership, communication, collaboration, teamwork, public speaking, ownership and dedication. I also actively volunteered and served my community, as an International Student Ambassador I helped international students coming from all around the globe safely reach Sarnia by providing thorough guidance on arrival procedures. I also ran a YouTube channel to help my fellow Lambton College students navigate the Canadian job market. Through my experiences have been able to adopt a growth mindset and develop my personality and I intend to work for a company which resonates with the same values
