About Ajithkumar Nagananthakumaran

With a B.Sc in Engineering from the University of Jaffna, I am a Service Delivery Engineer at Wavenet, a leading telecommunications company in Sri Lanka. I have a passion for learning new technologies and applying them to improve system performance and efficiency. At Wavenet, I effectively execute system implementation tasks on Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, ensuring their optimal performance and security. I implement automation solutions using Ansible, resulting in a significant reduction in manual intervention and improved efficiency. I also utilize Bash scripting to streamline tasks, boosting system reliability and reducing manual workload. Additionally, I orchestrate containerized applications using Docker, facilitating easy deployment and scalability. Furthermore, I successfully implement, manage, and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring robust data integrity and high-performance operations. I also implement and maintain robust monitoring solutions with Zabbix. I have also gained valuable experience as a Telecommunication Engineer Intern at Sri Lanka Telecom (Services) Ltd, where I contributed to the FTTx network development projects, PSTN/FTTH and IPTV new connections. I was involved in project survey, fiber network cable planning, BOQ preparation, FTTH acceptance test, new connection works, and quality check on the connections. I have multiple certifications in data science and Python from Coursera, and publication in MDPI on nonlinear configurations of dipole arrays for forming a single beam in any desired direction. I have also received the Edwin Manoraj Innovative Project Proposal Award and the Prof. Ampalavanapillai Nirmalathas Gold Medal award for outstanding research publication in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
