Hey! Greetings! I'm Akash Agarwal, a dedicated and results-driven Engineer with a diverse background in spearheading architectural advancements, developing real-time data storage solutions, and optimizing website performance. Over the past decade, I've had the privilege to work with industry-leading companies, contributing to transformative projects and delivering remarkable solutions. In my current journey at Mijndomein I've been at the forefront of engineering advancements, playing a pivotal role in enhancing backend services to handle surging traffic and ensuring scalability and robustness. My dedication to implementing best practices led to successful SAGA implementation and seamless monorepo migration, streamlining development workflows and promoting code reusability. Some of my recent Contributions- Worked for the world's largest video on demand, OTT Streaming Service Provider, owned by an American multinational media conglomerate, headquartered in California. As a team lead, I helped them rebuild their streaming platform from scratch, leading a team of engineers, and delivering at quality and scale. I worked on various technological fronts to cater to and solve Performance & Scalability challenges, taking complete ownership of several modules- Helped build a Distributed Database as a Service Product (DDaaS) for Processing and Storing Realtime Streams of Data (time series and another form), fed from physical IOT sensors, via Message Brokers. Any industrial application could then use this data via our endpoints for real-time graphical analytics or decision-making based on historical aggregates or utilize data in any other form. It was a beautifully crafted Micro Service Oriented Architecture, following Feature Driven Design, capable of handling thousands of requests per second in parallel. We leveraged parallel programming and multithreading efficiently, to make it possible. As an ardent advocate of driving innovation, I'm enthusiastic about exploring emerging technologies like Augmented Reality and Blockchain to shape the future of various industries.
