About Akash Amati

I am a 1st year MBA candidate at Carnegie Mellon University, pursuing concentrations in Finance, Accounting, and Strategy. With over five years of experience at Morgan Stanley and Société Générale, I bring a deep understanding of derivatives, repos and financial documentation, having specialized in negotiating ISDA (including Finance-linked ISDAs), CSA (VM & IM), MRA, GMRA, and GMSLA agreements. At Morgan Stanley, I worked with AMER clients across Corporates (HY & IG), Private Equity sponsors, Insurance, and Munis, while contributing to regulatory projects. At Société Générale, I supported EMEA clients, including Asset Managers, Banks, and Corporates, and played a key role in a project to develop an internal netting legal opinion tool. In addition to my work experience, I have published research papers on derivatives and law, including publications with Thomson Reuters.
