About Akash Kadechkar

My journey began when I received a battery-operated remote controlled toy car as a prize at the age of 9. Curious about how it worked, I opened it up and discovered the motor and magnets inside. This experience sparked a lifelong fascination with engineering, and I went on to earn my Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University. After working as a project manager for Tata Communications and Pradnya Transformers, I pursued my dream of studying abroad by applying for over 100+ scholarship programs. Ultimately, I was awarded fully-funded scholarships for both a Masters in Telecommunications, Systems, and Networks in (UPV) Valencia, Spain and a PhD in Electrical Engineering in (UPC) Barcelona, Spain. During my Master's degree, I completed an internship where I developed a smart bulb, further solidifying my interest in IoT technology.During my PhD, I developed 3 smart IoT products and an egde gateway applied to high voltage substations for the industrial partner SBI connectors, published 8 scientific papers, and obtained a patent. After graduation, I continued my journey as a project manager for OTC Engineering, where I managed various projects in the automotive, biomedical, and industry 4.0 sectors. I then joined Reby Rides as an R&D engineer and focused on research projects funded by the Spanish government, writing proposals to secure funding from the Spanish and Catalan government and Horizon Europe.Currently, I work for INTERA GROUP (Amper S&C IoT and NVISION), where I'm at the forefront of cutting-edge research projects in Horizon Europe, collaborating on new proposals and securing funding for innovative ideas. With a strong background in research and industry experience, I'm driven to push the boundaries of engineering and inspire others to achieve their goals. My ultimate goal is to make a meaningful impact on the industry and the world.
