About Akashdeep Gill

I’m a Power Systems Engineer (EIT) with hands-on experience in EMT (Electromagnetic Transient) simulation using PSCAD, transmission line design using PLS-CADD, and power system studies in ETAP. At a fast-paced engineering firm, I’ve worked across the full project lifecycle — from model development and validation to simulation, results analysis, and system optimization — giving me A–Z exposure to technical challenges that are often divided among larger teams. In PSCAD, I have completed advanced studies such as: Transformer Energization Effective Grounding for Inverter-Based Resources EMT-level Tuning (MQT – Model Quality Test) In ETAP, I perform: Power Flow Studies Short Circuit Analysis System Reliability & Safety Assessments On the transmission side, I deliver end-to-end line designs in PLS-CADD, including: Structure modeling & conductor selection Sag-tension and clearance checks Plan & profile generation Compliance with technical and regulatory standards My goal is to specialize in advanced PSCAD and EMT-level studies while continuing to build expertise in ETAP system analysis and transmission line design. I strive to be one of the few engineers capable of performing every major power system study with precision, innovation, and real-world applicability.
