About Akeem Croft

A Student Affairs Professional with an emphasis in Residence Life and Instructor of Leadership Development in Higher Education. I have an energetic personality, great people skills and I am also a coachable person. External to higher education, I have the following certifications: Schwinn Indoor Cycling Instructor, Hospitality & Tourism Management and CPR. I am currently employed full time at Michigan State University as a Community Director in Residence Education & Housing Services within the Residential & Hospitalities Services Division. In my role as a Community Director I oversee professional and graduate staff members of a Community of over occupants. I am also an instructor in the MSU College of Education. In my role as an instructor, I teach the Student Athlete section of Principles of Student Leadership Training.A course I have taught since 2015. The curriculum consist of NCAA life skills, leadership development and student athlete engagement mechanism. My experiences within higher education and expertise areas are in residence life, student athlete engagement, student life/leadership, undergraduate recruitment/admissions and greek life. I am also the founder/CEO of Campus Cards LLC. A college life card game that consist of college life scenarios with the goal of connecting students and the higher education community.
