About Akhil Ghosh

As a Graduate RA at Loyola University Chicago, I applied machine learning algorithms to process fossil data, which assists in determining if a stickleback population underwent sexual dimorphism. This project combines my passion for data and biology, and showcases my skills in imputation, statistics, and developing models. I am a Master of Science in Data Science graduate from Loyola, where I learned advanced techniques and tools to analyze, visualize, and communicate complex data. I have received multiple honors for my academic performance and insights, such as the Departmental Honors and the Best Insight Award at Loyola's ASA Datafest competition. In addition, I hold two Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Statistics from Loyola, where I was a NCAA Division 1 Student-Athlete. I spent numerous hours a week towards training, team commitments, and upholding the Jesuit values of Loyola. I am motivated by challenges and opportunities to grow and contribute to the field of data science.
