About Akhil Succena
Mr. Akhil Succena joined the NID as a faculty member in Visual Communication Design in 1973.Since then he has been instrumental in curriculum development, teaching, project guidance in the area of Film & Video Communication, Sound Design, Film Making etc. He headed the Film & VideoCommunication for several years. Graduated in Cinema from Film & TV Institute of India-Pune,he has made several documentary films for Industry and Government agencies His experience in industry sponsored projects took him to an administrative responsibility as Vice Chairman of Design Consultancy wing and then as Chairman of NID’s Outreach activities for the craft and other needy sectors. Later on, he was heading the educational programme at NID as Activity Chairperson-Education and later served as Officiating Director, NID. From 2010 till retirement, he served as the Centre Head for NID’s PG Campus in Gandhinagar.
