About Akihiro Ueda

Since the age of 19, I had traveled throughout Asia, Australia, and Europe. Fascinated by the Sitar, which I encountered in India, I became a musician based in Berlin, and spent most of my time abroad until I returned to Japan in my 30s after living in Israel for a year. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to become the Japanese exclusive partner of EarPeace, a brand of earplugs for the prevention of hearing loss in the U.S. I have worked on brand localization then started an e-commerce business using Shopify and other market places. As an early adopter of Shopify in Japan, I joined the company as a member of the domestic launch team. I have worked on new services, new department launches, operational leadership of the customer success department, hiring and training, and team management, and currently lead the enterprise support department in the APAC region.
