Mijn expertise speelt zich af op het grensvlak tussen hepatologie en interventionele endoscopie. Mijn focus ligt op hepatobiliaire endoscopische interventies middels ERCP, Endo-Echo, gastroscopie en combinaties hiervan. Ik richt me op de behandeling van patiënten met PSC en andere galwegaandoeningen, het screenen en diagnosticeren van cholangio- en pancreascinoom, het behandelen van complex galsteenlijden en indeterminate strictures. Op oncologisch vlak participeer ik in de zorgpaden HepatoCellulair Carcinoom, slokdarm/maagcarcinoom en pancreascarcinoom en draag bij aan lokaal, nationaal en internationale studies op bovenstaande gebieden. Als MDL-arts/Hepatoloog heb ik expertise op het gebied van transplantatie hepatologie, acuut en acute-on-chronic leverfalen en chronische cholestatische leverziekten. Voorts heb ik ervaring in de behandeling van virale, metabole en vasculaire leverziekten. Primair Scleroserende Cholangitis heeft in het bijzonder mijn aandacht en neem hiertoe onder andere deel in het landelijk PSC research consortium.
