About Akriti Sharma

I am a dedicated mental health and human services professional with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and passionate about empowering individuals to overcome their barriers and achieve meaningful growth. My career path has evolved from behavioral support in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to vocational consulting, culminating in my current role as a Veteran Engagement Specialist. In my current role, I have the privilege to assist veterans navigate their barriers to obtaining and maintaining housing, go from homelessness to housing, and prevent homelessness through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. With my previous experience as a Behavior Specialist and Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant, I bring a strong foundation of evidence-based practices, support planning, and a dedication to equity and care. This fall, I will begin my Master's in Social Work (MSW), advancing my knowledge to aid diverse populations through advanced clinical training and systemic advocacy. My long-term goal is to combine my psychology background, professional experiences, and social work education to expand access to mental health care and create a meaningful impact within underserved communities.
