About Akshay Ghosh

Currently I work on helping researchers in Atlantic Canada to use high-performance computing systems, and I provide training on a variety of topics including deep learning with PyTorch, Python, and Linux. I have a Master of Science in Astronomy from Saint Mary’s University, where I published a first-author paper introducing a novel wavelet-based method for analyzing time series of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). My research experience has honed my skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and programming using Python, MATLAB, R, and Unix Shell scripting. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics (Honours) from Carleton University, and I bring additional experience from roles as a research assistant and sports broadcaster, which strengthened my adaptability and problem-solving abilities.
